Hydraulic tongs use precautions

1.In order to ensure the normal operation of hydraulic components, it is necessary to ensure that the hydraulic oil is “clean” and the high-pressure filter element is cleaned and checked every week. When adding fuel to the tank, avoid mixing other debris into the tank.

2.Before each trip, butter maintenance.

3.After each trip, rinse with clean water and blow dry with compressed air. The roller part of slope plate and the piston rod of 2 cylinders are coated with butter to prevent corrosion.

4.Before attaching the shackle, check whether the door frame is closed properly, otherwise it will easily cause the shell deformation and lead to the scrapping of the pliers.

5.When operating the shackle, slowly turn the handle of the manual reversing valve, and then fasten the shackle after the pipe string is completely and reliably clamped.

6.When replacing the jaw plate, tooth block and other parts, the power clamp must be kept away from the wellhead and the hydraulic pump station must stop working to prevent accidents.

7.Clamp the joint with the high grade, and adjust the pressure of the oil tank relief valve when the pliers do not rotate. (Note: Do not open the low pressure, because the low torque is too large, it will twist the drill pipe joint).

8.Replace the molybdenum disulfide grease of the planetary gearbox once a year (not with butter).

9.The selection of excellent dental plates can ensure the improvement of work efficiency. Long-term use of B-type hanging pliers teeth plate can cause the teeth plate groove on the jaw plate to be damaged and the teeth plate to fall into the wellhead.

Maintenance of hydraulic tongs

1.According to the use of the filter of the hydraulic system, it is necessary to clean or replace its filter element in time to prevent the filter element from being blocked by dirt and affecting the normal use.

2.After the use of the new pliers, the hydraulic oil (or precipitation) should be replaced within a month, and the hydraulic oil should be changed every six months. During use, the oil level of the tank is not allowed to be lower than the lower limit of the oil level indicator, if it is lower than the lower limit, it should be replenished at any time. When adding fuel to the tank, avoid mixing other debris into the tank.

3.After each drilling, wash the head with water, dry it with compressed air in summer, and dry it with steam in winter. Clean the slope and roller parts and apply a thin layer of butter. The slope plate is required to be clean, and the roller and pin are flexible in rotation.

4.The maintenance of the transmission system bearing is the same as that of the bearing seat of the pressure fan.
5.Transfer the cylinder and clamp the cylinder, wash it with clean water after each trip, wipe the piston rod with cotton yarn and apply a thin layer of butter, and all the extended parts are put into the cylinder.
