Product Short Description

Goldenman Casing Head Housings form the lower structural and pressure-containing foundation of a surface wellhead.

Casing Spools suspend and seal subsequent casing strings while providing controlled access to the casing annulus.

Drilling Spools provide a pressure-containing connection between Blowout Preventers, wellhead components and drilling-pressure-control equipment, with side outlets for kill, choke, circulation or pressure-monitoring lines.

Complete systems are supplied with matched Casing Hangers, packoffs, Wear Bushings, lockdown screws, secondary seals, test plugs, outlet valves, studs and ring gaskets.

Straight-Bore Wellhead Design

The straight-bore design provides a continuous internal profile for the Casing Hanger, packoff, Wear Bushing and running tools.

Its advantages include:

  • Simplified hanger installation
  • Common Wear Bushing interface
  • Controlled hanger landing position
  • Straight access for drilling and completion tools
  • Reduced internal restrictions
  • Easier inspection of sealing surfaces
  • Compatibility with slip and mandrel hanger systems

The 45-degree internal shoulder transfers the suspended casing load from the Casing Hanger into the wellhead body.

Slip-Type Casing Hanger

The Slip-Type Casing Hanger grips the casing OD through segmented slips.

It is used where the casing is landed, tensioned and cut at the well site.

The assembly includes:

  • Segmented load-bearing slips
  • Casing-gripping inserts
  • Hanger body
  • Primary packoff
  • Retaining components
  • Running and setting tools

Slip Hangers are supplied according to:

  • Casing OD
  • Casing weight
  • Casing grade
  • Wall thickness
  • Suspended load
  • Body bowl size
  • Pressure class
  • Sealing system

Mandrel-Type Casing Hanger

The Mandrel-Type Casing Hanger connects directly into the casing string.

It provides:

  • Positive threaded connection
  • Defined casing landing position
  • Controlled load-transfer shoulder
  • Full-bore internal access
  • Integrated pressure sealing
  • High suspended-load capacity

Available connections include API casing threads and project-specific premium casing connections.

Primary Packoff System

The primary packoff seals the annulus between the Casing Hanger and the Casing Head or Casing Spool bore.

Available sealing systems include:

  • Elastomeric compression packoffs
  • Metal-supported elastomeric packoffs
  • Lockdown packoffs
  • Retrievable packoffs
  • Energized secondary packoffs

  • Completion fluid
  • H₂S
  • CO₂
  • Hydrocarbon exposure
  • Chemical injection service

BT Secondary Seal

The BT secondary seal is installed around the casing OD at the lower section of the Casing Spool.

It provides an additional annulus barrier below the primary Casing Hanger packoff.

The seal system includes:

  • Elastomeric sealing elements
  • Compression or energizing mechanism
  • Test and injection ports
  • Casing-contact sealing area
  • Retaining hardware

The casing is cut and prepared to the required stack height before the secondary seal is energized.

Lockdown Screws

Symmetrical lockdown screws retain and energize internal wellhead components.

Their functions include:

  • Retaining the Wear Bushing
  • Locking the Casing Hanger
  • Energizing the packoff
  • Preventing upward movement
  • Maintaining component position during pressure cycles

Lockdown screws are supplied with pressure seals, retainers and operating heads matched to the body pressure class.

Wear Bushing

The Wear Bushing protects the Casing Head or Casing Spool bore during drilling.

It protects the following areas from drill pipe, tool joint and running-tool contact:

  • Hanger landing shoulder
  • Packoff bore
  • Internal sealing surfaces
  • Lockdown-screw contact area
  • Secondary-seal bore

Wear Bushings are supplied with matching running and retrieval tools.

  • 3-1/8 in
  • 4-1/16 in

Complete outlet packages include valves, blind flanges, studs, nuts, ring gaskets and pressure fittings.

VR Preparation

VR preparation provides an internal profile for a Valve Removal Plug.

The plug isolates the pressure-containing body from an external side-outlet valve during controlled maintenance.

The VR system includes:

  • VR preparation in the outlet
  • Matching Valve Removal Plug
  • Running tool
  • Pressure-control procedure
  • Seal and test equipment

Bottom Connection Options

Weld-On Casing Head

The weld-on Casing Head is installed directly on the surface casing.

The body includes a weld preparation matched to the surface casing OD and wall thickness.

Threaded Casing Head

The threaded Casing Head connects to an API or project-specific surface casing thread.

Available configurations include pin and box bottom connections.

Slip-On Casing Head

The slip-on Casing Head uses segmented slips and seals around the surface casing.

This configuration provides mechanical load support and annulus sealing without welding the body directly to the casing.

Flanged Casing Head

The flanged bottom connection joins the Casing Head to a lower wellhead housing, conductor system or adapter component.

Pressure-Class Selection

Available working-pressure classes include:

  • 2,000 psi
  • 3,000 psi
  • 5,000 psi
  • 10,000 psi
  • 15,000 psi for high-pressure Drilling Spools

The pressure rating applies to the complete body, end connections, side outlets, sealing system, studs and ring gaskets.

The complete wellhead or BOP stack operates within the rating of its lowest-pressure component.
